I’m confused. Are Eco-systems things that take more energy than they produce?
Don’t we have those big glass jars filled with worms and plants and earth that keep on living?
Isn’t the Eco-System and the circle of life a great example of something everlasting, constantly spinning around?

First I’ll take to you, Scott. I’d love to have a face-to-face talk with you also, because I think it would be intelligent and I do so cherish intelligent discourse.

The Architect (My preferred translation of “Demiurge”) is a part of the “master plan”, so to speak, because nothing exists out of the “Supreme God”, or as I like to say “Aion” (Eternity), more personally “Father”, or just simply God. Nothing The Architect does is without the influence of God, however this doesn’t bother The Architect very much because he’s ignorant of God’s influence upon him anyway (Although I personally believe this has to have changed after such a long stretch of time). Why does God allow anything? I don’t think its worth bothering with – the immediate challenge is “why are we here on Earth?”.

So far, I’ve learned that we’re here by choice. Somewhere along the line we believed or knew that living this existence is of value. I believe it is of value because of what I can do for others with my presence and with what I can teach, what I can learn from the experiences I have here, and because there are a few things that I still want to do. After attaining the Gnostic “basics”, you can keep coming back. If you’ve learned anything at all, for a good number of times you will, or maybe if it makes you happy you’ll do it forever.

You’ll get it. We’ll all get it – its inevitable. The question is do you want it sooner rather than later? Is it even necessary for you to get there sooner?

This place allows us to learn in ways we probably couldn’t otherwise. Furthermore, simulacrum though it may be, this world is still the work of a craftsman – it is a work of art. Is not a painting or a sculpture beautiful? Are not these things /technically/ inferior to what it is they are trying to represent?

Many of the “Gnostic” writings can also be taken as examples of Hellenic storytelling, for the writing styles are steeped in that culture. These are not just “higher” truths, they also tell stories about ourselves.

Psalm 16:11

Even God can’t create Himself. Is that what you are saying? What is your authority of this “knowledge”? Inquiring minds want to know.

Satan is the archetype of the self-exalted being, beginning with his attempt to usurp God’s throne. Nebuchadnezzar follows his example by his self-praise: “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?” (Daniel 4:28-37). The man of sin, the Antichrist, will be the most self-exalted human being on earth, and this same spirit of pride will drive him (II Thessalonians 2:3-4).

I’m 44 years old. For a majority of my early life (from Childhood until about 30 years old) I was involved with fundamental Christianity, and was even a preacher at one point. But I always knew there was something wrong with it and felt separate from it… as if there was someone inside of me ensuring me at every turn that HE was the true god… it’s very difficult to explain.

Later I moved more into metaphysics and have dabbled in many disciplines along these line. It has felt to me over the last 15 years or so that I was getting closer to the “truth”, which in my soul I had already come to understand was nothing quite as absolute as mainstream Christian thought would have us believe. But with each passing experience I’d become more and more convinced that modern Christianity is a poison that has the exact opposite effect as it (at least ostenvively) proports to have.

At any rate I literally just read a summary of Gnosticism for the first time in my life, and to my utter astonishment not only did I agree with everyhting I read, but I already knew these things to be true on the inside of myself. It was like reading an book I’d read many times before, yet I have just now come upon it.
