God made man in his image, and that doesnt mean we look like him, that means we have the FREE WILL to choose to follow Christ or not, and like Adam and Eve… to choose between good and evil. God will always love His creations, not because He’s “lonely”… no one knows why He loves us…the only way I can describe it is…. Do you have a child? Maybe you do, If you do, do you love your child? We have been gifted the ability to create life, so image you have a child if you dont already, and how you would love that child. If that child makes choices you do not agree with, doesnt love you back, or acknowledge you, will you still love that child despite their faults? God is love, that is the whole point, dude. Christ came and sacrificed himself to show that God loved us (people, humans, everyone) and some still dont get it. You see, love is God, God is love. If you love…then you know God…God is real, and the only reason people dont believe is because they dont understand : )

David’s comments only reinforce the truth that man made god and not the other way round. Giving god human attributes, like he was lonely, only serve to strengthen the arguments against him/her.

Dude, Although I agree that the content of this website is abominable to the truth of God in Christ and his saving atonement for our sins, to rediculously suggest (in almost knee jerk fashion) that the almighty everlasting Father of our Lord Jesus, the Christ, through whom he made all that is (visible and invisible, etc) would experience any form of satisfaction and compatriotism by creating such useless beings as ourself because he was “lonely” is by far, more absurd than the notions suggested within gnosticism. You would be better served to learn with an open mind and understand the similarities beteen what was taught in gnosticism and the bastardized versions of christianity that we have shoved down our throats today. There are many uncanny similarities between what is put forth in gnosticism and what is found in our own bible (ie: Barbelo (for all intents and purposes, the Spirit) is the express image of the Unknowable One through whom “He” creates all things vs Jesus being the express image of the invisible God through whom and by whom and for whom all things were made, whether in heaven or on earth…etc. Understanding Gnostic thought helps to understand our faith better, because we are then more readily able to filter truth from error, understanding the roots of both branches of the faith that our Lord taught.
