This most influential of gnostic authors was a paranoid time-traveller who fell through a hole in creation and entered a parallel dimension, encountering strange beings and receiving bizarre visions the content of which were to inform every novel he wrote from that point onwards. From Blade Runner to Total Recall, many of today’s most mind-bending and critically acclaimed sci-fi movies are (in fact) adaptations of PDK’s work from this very fertile period.
