Praise the Demiurge and pass the ammunition

More disturbing news in the same vein as “Battlecry” (see previous post):

The Purpose Driven Life Takers (Part 1)

Imagine: you are a foot soldier in a paramilitary group whose purpose is to remake America as a Christian theocracy, and establish its worldly vision of the dominion of Christ over all aspects of life. You are issued high-tech military weaponry, and instructed to engage the infidel on the streets of New York City. You are on a mission — both a religious mission and a military mission — to convert or kill Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, gays, and anyone who advocates the separation of church and state — especially moderate, mainstream Christians. Your mission is “to conduct physical and spiritual warfare”; all who resist must be taken out with extreme prejudice. You have never felt so powerful, so driven by a purpose: you are 13 years old. You are playing a real-time strategy video game whose creators are linked to the empire of mega-church pastor Rick Warren, best selling author of The Purpose Driven Life.

… This game immerses children in present-day New York City — 500 square blocks, stretching from Wall Street to Chinatown, Greenwich Village, the United Nations headquarters, and Harlem. The game rewards children for how effectively they role play the killing of those who resist becoming a born again Christian. The game also offers players the opportunity to switch sides and fight for the army of the AntiChrist, releasing cloven-hoofed demons who feast on conservative Christians and their panicked proselytes (who taste a lot like Christian).

Little to add here, except for that it should be obvious to anyone with half a brain that the producers and consumers of this video game have explicitly and categorically rejected the teachings of Jesus and instead aligned themselves with unwholesome spiritual forces which prey and feed upon human fear, suffering and death.

“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.” [Luke 17:2]

Do you subscribe to the Media Squatters list? We’ve had a lot of discussion about video games there over the past week or so, re: the JFK assassination simulation, a Columbine role-playing game, and the Mercenaries 2 which basically involves invading an “oil-rich South American nation” with a “power-hungry dictator,” i.e., the pinko-fags in Venezuela, who get murdered by the Left Behind thugs in the next episode.

Hey, I’m trying to eat my smoked porn-pork sandwich here, don’t remind me where it came from. Maybe I got all gnostic paranoid from too much kratom last night, but it’s amazing to see how the rankest materialism exposes us to all manner of spiritual parasites: tearing down one wall to build another

Did your page eat my comment? Alien parasites, indeed.
