I am ashamed to admit that Michelle Malkin went to my alma matter
..but so did [tag]Liz Phair[/tag] too, for that matter. I hung out and partied with Liz a couple of times, and she was a cool girl and a lot of fun. Michelle I never met, but she kind of sounds like an uptight prude.
Anywho, weird post over on [tag]Michelle Malkin[/tag]’s new blog Hot AIr. Not even sure what the point of the blog itself is supposed to be - another place for big-government conservatives to get together and justify the power structure, I guess. LOL. Nice work if you can get it!
Anywho, what caught my eye was this funny pic from some manufactured controversy they were griping about - a cartoon in an oregon state student newspaper called “the insurgent”

Is this even supposed to be offensive? Jesus was nailed to a shaft, thrust into the damp earth, went limp and then rose again to the delight of his loyal ladies in waiting. Is the phallic symbolism of the crucifixion just not obvious to some people?
‘Various figures of crosses are found everywhere on Egyptian monuments and tombs, and are considered by many authorities as symbolical either of the phallus [a representation of the male sex organ] or of coition. . . . In Egyptian tombs the crux ansata [cross with a circle or handle on top] is found side by side with the phallus.”A Short History of Sex-Worship (London, 1940), H. Cutner, pp. 16, 17; see also The Non-Christian Cross, p. 183
C’mon, Michelle. It’s springtime… lighten up!

Oh, I had a t-shirt very similar to that…I wore it in Fresno and nearly got beat up for it. (That happened a lot there, I think I had a death wish)
